Sorry - should have phrased better.

The key is most likely genuine.

If it's not, Microsoft will eventually notice and make a pop-up that says "You may be a victim of software piracy".

Hi, I'm an second hand windows 7 pc user. i check my product key and realised that it is activated. now the only problem is, is this key is genuine or not ? I tried slmgr.vbs /dlv and got a new window opened. in that window i got some information that i don't know. can you guys help me ?

Well, with "free" keys, they typically allow you to install but don't let you activate.

I know this, having used one for my XP install before I found one on a sleeve from my dad.

The fact that it's activated, though, makes it unlikely.

PLEASE STOP [Killing] ME I WILL GIVE Y OU ANOTHER DEAL.
