Gpu not performing

Jacob06lidingo

I recently got my hands on a rtx 3080 an i put it into my build, but I've experienced some underperforming of the card. In warzone i only ger from 100-120 fps 1080p ultra settings when i should get around the 200 mark, an also in forza when i only get 140 fps. My usage is really low not getting over 60 procent in warzone, actually hovering near the 40 procent mark. Im really concerned because i obviously expected better performance for such a expensive gaming card. And i don’t think its my cpu bottlenecking. What should i do pls help!

my specs, except the chassi, not the thermaletake but the corsair crystal 280x8CB9CACD-E39D-4B13-A74B-380AF69C5453.thumb.jpeg.b33c76b3773ba2ae2f5b6a6336bac379.jpeg8CB9CACD-E39D-4B13-A74B-380AF69C5453.thumb.jpeg.b33c76b3773ba2ae2f5b6a6336bac379.jpeg

Ryzen loves faster RAM, perhaps a pair of 8GB 3600MHz RAM....I have a Ryzen 9 3900X paired with 3600Mhz RAM (see sig), and I'm willing to bet just on CPU performance alone, mine would outpace yours.

Maybe it will increase the framerate a bit but not on a drastic level. The framerates he mentions are normal for said games @ 1080p with his CPU/GPU combo.

I know it is disappointing because with the price gauges we have on 2021 he probably spent a fortune (most likely near or over $1000 for the 3080 alone)  and the only thing he gets is ~140 FPS @ 1080p  but that's what corporate greed brings us.

Wait so you think i get bottlenecked?

Not exactly it is just how this particular game engine does handle your resources (particular CPU and GPU ) at a 1080p resolution if you look for videos with your particular gear in the games you mentioned you will see the same results e.g

  • 3 weeks later...

Ok, so would cpu swap increase performance in these types of games, like a 5900x. Anyways thanks for the support mate! 👍
