hi everyone, my name is Kayden i am new to the group and looking for help to build my first PC

I'm debating on cpu between intel i-5 10600K or Ryzen 5600X.  I am not sure which one is best for my job please give me suggestions.

I'd go with AMD. They're more energy efficient and being more competitive in the CPU game. What GPU are you using?

AMD CPU's work consistently better especially when OC'd

If you are willing to wait for stock, then the 5600x will be a much better buy.

It performs better in 

-Games

-Multithreaded applications

It will also be cheaper since the CPU + MOBO + Cooler combo is a lot less.

i think it’s worth waiting for stock. There are Twitter bots that give you audio alerts for when stock comes, and they come every couple days.

 

i think the 5600x is a better buy overall, but if you had to buy at this instant moment, then the 10600k is still a decent buy.

I don't have to have  the PC right now so i would wait, AMD was the one i pick at first place. I also considered to get rtx 3060 for my build, and is B550 mother board is good for the build?
