unstable Cpu temps

Was talking to My friends and they said i shut go and get a new cooler. Bought a new cooler put that on (never done it before) but obv checkt alot of vids on how to, anyway after i put on my new cooler my temps are even worse and pretty unstable while idling they are going rapidly up between 45-78 degrees and while gaming it was at some point 89 degrees and also shooting up and down quiet alot. so i was wondering if i did something wrong with the installation or somehting else might be broken maybe the temprature censor ?
PC specs :
CPU : Intel I7 7700K
Cooler : coolermaster masterliquid lite 240
GPU : Nividia Geforce RTX 3070 Gigaybyte
Ram : Corsair 32 GB DDR4-3200
Motherboard : Asus PRIME Z270-P
PSU : 850 Watt
Windows 10 64 bit
Is that graph at the bottom when the CPU is under load? if so your absolutely fine and that was probably a spike, if not make sure the screws aren't lose, the plastic film on the cooler is off, the CPU was cleaned of the previous thermal, and you reapplied thermal paste.
