I will be taking a Server Fundamentals course. I am contemplating on how to set up video capture from an Acer Veriton X6610G I5 desktop which I am be installing Windows Server 2016. I would like to use my Intel i7-3770 to capture the video during the installation process. Does anyone have any reccommendations on budget video capture cards?!

Budget can mean a lot of things. What's your budget? What video connectors do you desire to have on your capture card? What resolutions and frame rates do you need? There's more than a few things here that we need to know.

I would like to use video capture in three scenarios with hdmi cables at 1080p at 30 fps or 60 fps.

Scenario 1

Video capture installation of operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 2016 Server, Linux) as well as PC Bios

Scenario 2

Video capture of gamings and presentations.
