Budget (including currency): ~2000USD

Country: Philippines

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: FPS, Singleplayer games, Adobe CC, and CAD

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I have the following parts list in mind:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7 GHz 12-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black 55 CFM CPU Cooler  ($123.98 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($319.00 @ B&H)
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory  ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Gigabyte AORUS NVMe Gen4 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($179.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB TUF GAMING Video Card
Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case  ($94.99 @ Best Buy)
Power Supply: Corsair RM (2019) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply  ($140.93 @ Newegg)

The only catch is that, as we all know, 3000 series cards are super rare. I was thinking of getting a 1660 Super or a similar card to act as a temporary card while I wait for stocks to build up.

I have a couple questions:

  1. Are there any issues/improvements to the original build?
  2. Are there any issues that could come from using a temporary card?
    1. Do I just need to DDU clean it then reinstall the 3080 safely, then that would be ok?

Sorry for the wall of text, and thanks to any who would help!

What resolution are you going to use?  looks very powerful CPU and GPU (when you can get a 3000 series)

i am not sure that cooler will be sufficient, but it will do to get you up and running.

look on the used market for a temp GPU, ebay or others.  GPU's are super expensive and hard to get right now.

look for sales, open box, used, you can always try to resell your temp GPU once you get your high end one.

about your specs, for sure i would go for a 32GB Memory kit with low latency, memory is super cheep right now.

if you only want one drive, go for 2TB a 1TB you will fill it up so fast.

if you can afford it a 1TB Gen4 for O/S and a 2TB nvme for files, media, games etc if you can afford Gen4 if now Gen3

I only have my 1080p monitor with me, but I'll be upgrading to 1440p after getting the 3080

I was aiming for a 2x16gb 3600mHz cl16 kit, but my area only has up to cl18 (also 3200mHz cl16 too)

I don't plan on filling it up too much. I'm currently running a 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD, and I am nowhere near fully using it. I'll keep this in mind though!
