Not really. That's my mobo IO shield, and the standoffs don't line up because the IO ports don't go all the way in. I took out the mobi cuz I'm afraid I'll damage it

yes i knew it was the IO shield :)

so correct me if i'm wrong,

but when you mount your motherboard on the proper standoffs the io shield does not line up with the ports on the motherboard correct?

bend the tabs?

do you mean the corners of the motherboard?

and did you remove the IO shield BEFORE mounting the motherboard?

No, the tabs on the shield. I installed the IO shield first and then the mobo. Then I took the mobo out after it wasn't fitting.

okay try removing the IO shield and then insert the motherboard

once the motherboard is incerted then try and fit the IO shield

But don't you have to install the shield first? Don't know how it's possible to insert it after, since it can only be inserted from the inside.

i seem to have forgotten that part and might have caused more confusion than help, with a huge brain fart on my end, i do apologize for that.

try watching this explanation and see if it answers your question,

and once again sorry for the confusion.

It's ok. I've watched that video but I still didn't understand.

However, I managed to put my board in. As you can see the shield (even tho the other ports are lined up) doesn't look too straight but the standoffs did line up. Now to see tomorrow if I didn't mess up my motherboard 20210108_034646.thumb.jpg.909bc22f4cd2d660d1a5f7f0e531d664.jpg:(

oh what you just posted doesn't look like a problem, other than visually them not lining up perfectly isn't as good to look at.

but you seem to have done it properly.
