Hey guys,

Budget (including currency): about 1500€ without graphicscard

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

EFT, CoD, Visual Studio, VS Code, Blender, Krita, UE4

Other details

I am planning to improve specially my workload and save time while compiling etc. and of course gaming

Graphics setting should be 1440p at 144Hz with G-Sync on

Current System:

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming
Ram: 16GB G.Skill RipJaws V schwarz DDR4-3200
CPU: Intel Core I7-8700K 6x3.70 GHz
Grafik: Asus GeForce GTX 1080 Strix Advanced 8GB
SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Interne SSD, 500GB NVMe M.2

New Build: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZKP6y4

Already bought an MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio 10G, 10240 MB GDDR6X, just waiting for delivery.

I am right now only planning my new build and i will wait to buy my build when the delivery will get much better and the prices will come down.

Would be thankful to see if that build is okey or if you are having some nice recommendations.

Thanks for your help.

OUTDATED JAN 2021 ===========> Check out my pc building guide! might be useful tho

It's great for planning new builds, getting a reference on where to start, or seeing what you need to play what games.

It also shows what I recommend for upgrading your stuff!

cpu - ryzen 5 3600

gpu - gtx 1070

ram - (2x8) 3200mhz

ssd - 970 evo plus 500gb

Everything looks fine, although you could go with a B550 board. They are around $100 cheaper and some have better VRMS than some X570 boards.

Also, this version of this case is out of stock (just an fyi)

geometry is hard
b550 > x570

Thanks for the fast answers.

@Downkey yeah i know but i need sadly some more USB and as i can see on most of the other MB there are like only 4 USB-Slots and thats sadly way to less.

@richodude yeah you may be right but at compiling stuff i guess that would be aprox an performance increase of maybe 1-2% and that for about 200€ i sadly dont think that would make that much sense to only switch the ram

i thought 6 on back and 2 on front was pretty standard? some even have 8+2. Mine does and it's the b450m hdv r 4.0
