Bottleneck?

I currently have a dell inspiron 5675 that I've had for 2 and a half years, it came with a r3 1200 and an rx560. I have recently done an overclock to 3.8ghz on the cpu running stock cooler. I am looking to upgrade to a 1080 and I will know there will be a bottleneck. I am looking at playing games at the highest settings and want to know how severe the bottleneck will be. I am getting a cpu later on down the line as the gpu currently is not holding up.

The CPU will be a bottleneck on 1080p, but shoudldn't be too bad considering the overclock on 1440P. Not a bad idea if you are going to upgrade the CPU later anyways.

Thank you, I would be aiming for 1080p as that is what my monitor supports, any idea how bad the bottleneck would be on this resolution? I am thinking about upgrading later on if I do get this card to a 1600x or a 1700 as my mobo only takes 1st gen ryzen.

Adding on to this, I would be looking for the same performance of a 1080 My budget is around £350. Would there be any other cards that would perform similar and wouldn't have such a bottleneck?

@SlashedM I would be able to run my gpu at 1440p scaling, that could also work but how bad would the card be on 1080p? any other suggestions for cards around the 300-350 price mark?

1080 isnt too bad of a card. Unfortunately I can't recommend getting another GPU as Im not that familiar. Anyways, it'll do 1080P just fine, and 1440P.
