Im looking for a new mouse to replace my Mionx Naos 3200. The only requirements I have are that it has a pinky rest and 2 buttons on the side for forward and back.

I've considered the Razer Trinity, but it really only has a ring finger rest that isnt as big. The reason this matters so much is because my hand hurts after using any other type of mouse too long.

Looks pretty good, I'm not a big fan of the short length but its something I think i can sacrifice for the finger rest. I may look into 3D printing a new body if possible because the only reason I want to switch mice is because the software for the Mionx one does not work at all anymore and its really annoying because I still really love the mouse.

What do you need the software for ?

You can change the polling rate and other stuff, but when you try to save the modifications, the software crashed.

that suck ... cause it would probably save on and onboard memory and then you can uninstall the software and that's it.

I used a Naos for a couple years, liked it a lot until the middle click went.

Unless you buy the new version (the Naos QG, which has a dumb heart-rate sensor gimmick), or a couple of other mice by obscure brands that use the same shell mold (Dream Machines DM2 Comfy/Comfy S/Comfy Supreme, the ancient Qpad 5K, all of which will probably be very difficult to find for a fair price in the US), the only thing you're going to find that's at all similar is the aforementioned Cooler Master MM720 or the earlier MM520 (which doesn't have the silly honeycomb shell but also doesn't have optical switches). As you already noticed they're smaller/shorter than the Naos because they're actually evolutions of Cooler Master's old Spawn and Xornet claw-grip mice... actually when the MM520 came out, fans of the Spawn/Xornet complained it was too big.

There are a number of mice on the market that have pinky rests though, if it's specifically the pinky rest you want and now the entire ring-and-pinky-finger ergonomic shape.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
