Budget (including currency): N/A (I live in SEA)

Country: Philippines

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AAA Games (CP 2077)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hello LTT Community,

I started to plan my build a month ago and i've finalized my build just last week. I actually bought the motherboard and my friend gave me his GPU (good condition) but then I am still looking for alternatives where I can save up on. Since this is my first and entry level to PC gaming, I wouldn't want to spend too much on parts unnecessary. Although, I do have plans

to upgrade my build in the future and that's also the reason why im trying for a budget build.

Here goes :

Processor : Ryzen 3 3100

Motherboard : MSI B450M Mortar Max (mATX)

Graphics Card : GTX 1070 ROG Strix

Memory : Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB x2 DDR4 2666MHZ

PSU : Corsair 650 Watts PSU, CV, CV650, 80 Bronze

HDD : WD BLUE 1TB 64 MB Hard Drive

SDD : WD GREEN 240GB M.2 SSD 3D NAND

Casing : MSI Vampiric 100R

I've been watching Linus videos in youtube about building PCs but I think I still have a lot to learn. As of the moment, I just realized in my Motherboard that it supports a max standard 2667 Mhz memory speed (by JEDEC). To my understanding, this is a non-OC support or the by default memory speed. That's why I picked up a 2666Mhz Memory. My motherboard also has A-XMP OC mode which supports Memory speeds from 2667 Mhz to 3466 Mhz. I am thinking if I should pick up a 3000 Mhz memory instead.

I would appreciate your feedback on how I can optimize my performance while as much as possible save money. Or if you find something that's incompatible,

I would definitely be a happy man to be informed.

Cheers!

if you want to save more money you can got an 550watt PSU, because Ryzen 3 3100 and GTX 1070 don't cost lot of power, and you can get 3000 MHz memory for that motherboard and your pc will work even better because in Ryzen CPU more ram speed mean greater performance, but you will need to OC the ram using your motherboard BIOS

Thank you for your feedback. I'll pick up a better ram soon.

Although something came up to my mind. My friend actually had a Vampiric 100R and a Palit RTX 2070S.

He had an issue with the case so he changed to a full tower instead. I was worried that his Video Card has a width dimension of 292mm.

His GPU already touched the middle CPU Fan which already removed the stickers from it. He also has ATX mobo.

While my 1070 ROG Strix has 298mm. I was so sure that my GPU will have no issues with 100R since the case specs

has 300mm GPU Clearance. But seeing the example from my friend, i may not be able to fit the system in my case without a middle fan at all.

Should I change my casing?

upgrade your RAM. It is very slow speed. And beside investing in case you can invest on CPU.

And beside going with GTX1070 you can go RTX2070.It is more better and cheap.

You can use this RAM
