I got a steelseries apex 7 keyboard with red switches.

I noticed that their RGB was functioning quite nice unlike corsair on another product.

However, I find it a bit hard to use.

If one can add different keys/custom and adjust the switches to how one want them? I like the feel of the red, just a bit too short activation point and thinking of having a stronger spring to make less accidents when pressing. Also the keys being a bit too far from each other, and due to steelseries own key, space bar is kind of in the way for the bottom keycaps. making some of the keys used in gaming a bit pointless. To further away with the row of F1 keys, or if most of mechanical keyboards are like that?

Just disassemble the keyboard, desolder the switches, and solder on new ones.

The spacing is standardised, 19.05mm.

ah okey, and desolder ;()
Might just try to switch the spring instead so they will match more with the activation point and reducing the accidental typing.

The other stuff was about, if al mechanical ones for gaming have a higher up F1 keys, and I might have gotten too used with a more low profile keyboard that has a bit easier reach for each key. Although for typing this is sort of good.

this being sort of what I had only way cheaper.
