Looking at a RM750X but the fan size is 135mm.

The fan underneath my tower is only 120mm. Will it be ok ?

short answer: Yes.

Long answer:

Not sure how they would even relate.  The fan on the PSU is intake.  You point it down so it draws air from the outside through the bottom vent and exhausts out the back.  PSU air doesn’t affect the rest of the case at all unless you flip it to try to use it as exaust air.  Your case and most modern aren’t designed for that though.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Thanks   my current cooler master is 120mm fan size and the RM750X is 135mm so not a huge difference.

The airflow wont be restricted at all will it ? The specs for my case say 120mm but the rm750x is 135mm.

As long as it definitely wont restrict the air flow I'll buy it

As long as the case has feet and not put on carpet it should bereathe through the bottom of the case like it’s supposed to. If it is put on carpet the feet may need to be made longer to make sure space remains.  There are a bunch of easy ways to do that.

The PSU will be sitting on feet inside that case so you'll be fine about the intake for the fan. If you're really concerned, just flip it so the fan faces up (I can only mount my PSU that way even though I can face them down).

I believe your getting PSU fan size and the ability to place a CASE FAN confused. You can put a case fan that is 120mm in size located at the bottom of the case.

Ok thanks.

And my air vents at the bottom are big enough ? They're about 120mm

Naw.  Should be ok.

My current  PSU has a 120mm fan and the Corsair is 135mm, hence my concern.

Yes I was getting confused, thanks for that

They should be fine since that is an ATX case and the power supply is ATX as well.

fine quality, but good enough depends on the rest of your rig (requirements)

PS, the entire bottom or your case that you listed is vented.

The PSU is a defined size, the difference bt 120 and 135 is just how big of a hole is in the middle of the PSU(sucking air into the PSU, venting out the back)

As long as you keep bottom of case clear (not on rug) you can have if fan face down, drawing air from bottom of case (your continuous bottom vent is much larger than 135mm x135mm )

You’re fine.  Those flanges are for a removable filter to go over the intake.  That is literally designed for an atx PSU to breathe through.

Is it necessary to use cable ties ?  Will velcro ones do or not ? I wouldn't like to cable tie anything as it would be very difficult to take them off if I needed

For cable management?  Anything that hods cables.  You could even use spaghetti noodles I suppose.  You don’t even need to use anything at all if you don’t want to. Just let em flop around.
