  1. turn it off if you don't use it
  2. hide your SSID
  3. use a wired connection if you can. It might be convenient, but wireless is also an easy target, pinching wires is much more difficult to do unnoticed!
  4. use a strong password and an even stronger cypher (2048bit!)
  5. ensure said password is not in some dictionary, use special characters to increase security
  6. use punctuation in your sentences. It's invented for a reason. I have some spare you can have: ...,,,... ;)

None of that makes a blind bit of difference for WiFi as anything radio based can easily be killed by transmitting noise, thus blocking the legitimate signal.  Of course its illegal, but then technically a DDoS is too.

There is no way to prevent a denial of service on WiFi if someone is determined as all they need do is transmit random noise on the channel you are using.  You count on people not doing that as its illegal.
