Hello!

 

My name is Hugo and I am inquiring about something I got for my dad on christmas!

 

I am in love with computers, but I am not the most tech-savvy person.

 

I ordered my dad the NZXT Starter Plus.

 

Which at the time it seemed like a great build for the price. But I have researched youtube just to not find any answers to my questions.

 

I am mostly concerned because my dad plans on recording his gameplay, and to be completely honest I am not sure if the computer will be able to record his games at a decent quality.

 

The specifications are as follows:

 

CPU: i5-9400f

GPU: 1660 Super

RAM: 2x8 3200mhz ram (dual channel)

SSD: 512 M.2 SSD

that config will record gameplay with nvidia shadowplay no issues, the only thing i will say you WILL need more storage as 512gb will fill up stupidly fast with recordings.

Recording as in streaming or recording videos for YouTube? I would say it would be doable for just recording to upload but not really sure with streaming because I dont know whether the 1660s takes advantage of the NVENC encoder or not.
