So I'm trying to flash my B550 Tomahawk to the latest BIOS that supports Zen 3 processors, however when I begin the process it goes on indefinitely. Once the flash BIOS button is pressed the LED indicator flashes red for a couple seconds and then the motherboard lights up and the flashing gets faster. This is all normal so far, however what's not normal is how long it goes on for. In every video, article and guide I've seen the flashing lasts 10 minutes maximum. However mine has gone on for well over an hour before I stopped it. I have tried 5 different USB sticks all ending with the same result. All formatted to FAT32 and MBR. Renamed the BIOS to MSI.ROM. Tried several different partitioning programs (BOOTICE, RUFUS, etc.) and yet i can get no further. Is it possible my motherboard is fried despite everything lighting up? If I missed important information ask away I'm truly at my wits end and would appreciate any help.
