So I got a pc about 2 weeks ago and recently I went and got a new service provider for WiFi. It took a while for a technician to come in and set it up (since I was using another provider). Everything was working up until the part where I tried to connect the Ethernet cable to the PC and it did not work at all, it shows an orange light with yellow blips. I want to know what is the problem because on the modem it shows green and on my pc it just shows orange and yellow. PLEASE HELPPPPP!!!!

p.s. I already tried to unplug then plug the Ethernet cable, delete the drive for my connection, and went as far as trying to go reset windows. All of them failed!

Try another ethernet cable, preferably Cat5E or better.

I used a Cat6 and it shows no success.

What is the make/model of the ethernet adapter on the computer?

Have you updated the network adapter drivers to the latest version?

If you have the motherboard’s manual, find what the section on interpreting the color of the lights. Usually, one means connectivity while the other means activity.

What do you mean no success? are you talking about not getting an IP address or you do get an IP but no internet? if that is the case, usually when you switch providers it takes time for your new connection to start. I had the same problem I had to wait a day for my new connection to work..
