I need to build a new pc as my old one broke, but I am not willing to spend 1000-1500 to get a good one straight away. What I am wondering is, how should I plan to buy components to have something that works quickly but then, when stock comes back, prices lower a bit and I have got some more saved, upgrade them? For example, should I buy a very good motherboard straight away, good case, good PSU but then buy a somewhat good CPU and then down the line upgrade to a ryzen 5k? Is there a rule I should follow? A priority list for this specific scenario would be great! Also, things I shouldn't miss out.

What are you planning on upgrading to in the end? CPU and GPU wise.

You could do a 3200g or 3400g Ryzen if you were planning on going to a 5k. Since they have integrated graphics. Once you bought a GPU, you might end up being happy with just the CPU performance of a 3400.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I have not speced out the final build, as things might change in the future with parts. I was just wondering what I should buy good right now and decent to be upgraded in the future (for example, don't need NVMe right now as my storage still works, but I will upgrade in the future )
