So I just recently built a custom pc to play modern warfare and iRacing on and its asus b550 rog strix gaming motherboard and ideally when I turn the computer off I want to be able to turn it off and forget about it, right now I’m having to shut it down through Windows start menu and then once windows shuts it off I flip the switch off at power supply; my goal is to cut that last part out. I figured out how to turn off the rgb with aura I disabled that in the bios and was wondering if there is anything I should turn off so it doesn’t feed power to it when I’m not using it. I just want to be able to turn it off in Windows and that’s it I don’t think I should have to turn off switch at power supply unless this is normal operation? Thanks for taking time to read and any help is appreciated.

Why are you turning the switch on the power supply off after shutting down? The PC should be drawing basically no power when shut down.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

PSA: Posting a PCPartPicker list with no explanation isn't helpful for first-time builders :)

This board has RGB on it that eye looking logo next to the rear I/o when I shut down pc with just windows that rgb would stay on. I figured out how to turn that rgb light off but was wondering if there is anything else i should disable?
