I been looking in to getting a 3060(if I ever find one) but I'm wondering if it's the best bang for the buck or if theirs another out there roughly as good for cheaper

On the market the best bang for the buck GPUS are the 3060ti and 3070. The 3050 may launch soon but that is expected to have 2070 super performance.

There are currently none in stock that are actually good (Go for a GT 710 for all I care) or pay scalpers until stock stabilizes and the market returns back to normal.

Currently, you're not going to find anything as good as a 3060Ti for cheaper -- however, it's doubtful you'll be able to find a 3060ti at retail pricing at all right now.

Because it doesn't matter. You can't buy any GPUs nowadays.

You can find plenty: they might just not be the latest models.

I would buy a 1650 Super or 1660 Super if I were buying now, then come back in a year to assess the situation if I somehow found something lacking. But this might not be the OP's requirement.

Yes you can do that but they won't be very good. You will have to buy another GPU very soon.

Maybe. Depends on the user's requirements and the games they play and their demands. I'd argue these are probably the best bang-for-buck today.

I actually had the cash for an FE GTX 3070 or 3080 but its been such a pain in the ass to find them I've come to the conclusion I am going to be using my 1660 until at least next March.

I refuse to pay a dime to scalpers for anything.

My advice to anyone look for a hold over card is just pickup anything that beats the minimum requirements of the games you are playing while being as cheap as possible. You can replace it sometime later next year.
