I want to store videos up to 4K, images, music, all sort of media. I have read the most reliable brands are WD, LaCie and G-Drive. I first wanted 10TB, but I think 4TB is safer because it's easier to back up to a second drive. So I need one of two different brands so it's more reliable. Each with the same contents backed up each time side by side. I don't know if I should go for a USB 3.0, a 3.1 or a USB-C drive. Having all this RAID setup and NAS stuff confuses me too much and I don't understand a word so I better not touch those things. I just want it user friendly for a not tech savy person.

Hope you all can help me figuring out the best setup!
