Buying used mining GPU

Hello,

 

I'm wondering, is it save to buy a GPU that was used for mining? Can someone explain actually what are the disadvantages?

Depends on the card and what they may have done to it. 

Most of mine were mined on and I did so for awhile too. Never had an issue nor would there be any. 

Only bought 10 series fe cards.

Depends. If it was undervolted, as many were, it's likely perfectly fine.

If it was ran super hot all it's life at full bore, probably not.
