Windows Test Mode

LogicalDrm

Ok, so I got this small notice:

testmode.PNG.db9dfa15ce03902fe5dbe3dcec8e3dda.PNG

Top line saying "Test Mode".

I did google already how to remove it, and what is supposedly means https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/2509241/how-to-disable-the-test-mode-message-that-is-displayed-in-windows

But the question is, how do I know what is causing this, and more importantly, will there be any issues if I disable test mode? The Microsoft help page there says its automatically activated if there's some driver/software missing signature or something.

I don't have any visible driver issues, Flash player is already removed, Windows is activated (key is originally for Win7 OEM). I also did manually update to 20H2, but this message was there before that also. I have no idea when it has started showing as I very rarely have desktop visible long enough to look at it.

According to Microsoft, "The test signing mode may start if an installed program is in a test phase because it uses drivers that are not digitally signed by Microsoft."

From that it sounds like you are tying to make a program, or a downloaded program is in a test phase.

Are you doing anything like that? (Some installers will say something like this: Publisher: unknown)

I'll do some checking. But I don't recall any installations where my AV would have flagged things for example.
