Hi guys. I have an LG C9 tv that supports hdmi 2.1 and is also Gsync compatible.

 

I currently have an intel/nvidia build that is getting on a bit now and will be looking to build a new rig soon. Possibly going full AMD.

 

My question is that with the new crop of graphics cards coming out will AMD freesync work fine with the gsync TV? I've been trying to find info elsewhere but it's incredibly vague.

It's not a G-Sync TV.

It doesn't have a G-Sync chip / module in it.

 

It is G-Sync Compatible (That is different from straight-up G-Sync).

AKA, nVidia using FreeSync / Adaptive Sync on GeForce GPUs.

 

In your case, with your LG TV, and AMD / nVidia supported FreeSync / Adaptive Sync GPU will work.
