I got a 4TB External Seagate HDD and I took it out its caddy and put it in my PC. It is a 5400RPM drive.

When doing a speed test on it I get around 130mb read speeds and around 80mb write and its the same when moving files around as well so no issues there.

BUT when downloading games be it on steam, blizzard or epic the download goes SLOW as hell as the download is waiting for the drive all the time. Task manager will show 100% usage but only a few mb of reads/write.

So, Why is it so bloody slow? Is it just the fact its only a 5400rpm drive?
