Win10 automatic update breaks VMWare -> Solved

It seems every couple of months, the CRIMINAL Windows 10 automatic updates + reboot somehow get re-enabled and wreck havoc.

I think i triggered it by inserting a USB NIC for some testing, and the driver install somehow enabled WIndows to update everything.

 

VMWare would hard-reset the whole computer when i started a VM.

View installed updates - Uninstall these recent

What worked in the end was updating VMWare Workstation. So i think if you reinstall your VMWare it will work again.
