PC Upgrade

Go to solution Solved by Action_Johnson,

Just add more of the same. Filling up the DIMM's is still dual channel. The difference between 3000MHz and 3600MHz is measurable, but unlikely to be be noticeably faster.

I'd say "yeah go 3600 CL16" if you plan on getting a video card like 2070 Super/5700XT or bigger in the near future

Drop in a Ryzen 5 3600 or 5600X and fill your other 2 DIMM's with another set of that Viper 2x4GB and you should be pretty darn OK.

If you need a bigger video card, look at a 5500XT, 5600XT, 1650 Super, or 1660 Super.
