Logitech G29 Wheel No Buttons Working

kecap

I recently wanted to play with my old G29 wheel again after few years.

The wheel, pedal, and H shifter all worked fine but sometimes when I turn quickly the buttons started to not work, I tried cleaning and re plugging the connectors inside but nothing works.

I read that if only connecting the USB to PC will power the buttons without the Power supply, which is correct and all buttons are working fine but when I plugged the power supply all buttons just won't work. Pedals, H shifter, and the wheel works fine except all the buttons on the wheel.

I used Wheel Tester to test all the buttons (downloaded from Microsoft Store)
Please help me fix this issue, thanks.

Are we talking G29 or G920? Cause they are not the same thing even though they look similar. The G29 is for PlayStation only and it is not officially supported on Windows.

The G29, last time I used this wheel it worked fine, so I don't know what happened maybe because I used too much FFB?

Don't think so. These wheels are notorious for having various issues. I personally have the Xbox / Windows version which is the G920 and had crazy problems with it as well. Ultimately I got mine resolved by updating the firmware. Not sure if that will work on yours though, as it is technically not supported under Windows. Still, might be a good idea to give it a try anyway.

Maybe the wiring inside got problem? Twisted or got pulled? 🤔

Everywhere I've read has said that both the G920 and G29 are Windows compatible.

Yeah, I checked and I see that it is in fact. Way before when it came out I remember the G920 was the only one officially supported, not the case any more and seems it has been like that for a year or two, which is actually a good thing. Since the drivers and software will be the same for the G29 and G920, you can try updating the firmware and see whether it will resolve the issues you are having.
