I've had my pc and gpu for a few months now with no problems. In the last week however I keep seeing little artifacts or white dots on my screen that are very noticeable on black backgrounds. That wasn't a problem though until my screen start going black few a few seconds every minute it happens in all programs and has happened about 7 times while typing this. it wasn't doing any of this before and the connection on the cord is secure, any suggestions?

This may sound odd, but can you print screen it for us and is it then visible in the print screen?

Also, have you done any tsing for this yet?

Reseated the GPU, cleaned the dust from the system?

Used DDU to clean and reinstall the driver?

Also, list your system specs so we know what you are dealing with for hardware.

on so from what I know I can still do things on my pc while the screen is black, I haven't done any test or trouble shooting. I have a Ryzen 7 3800x and a 2070 super founders edition. I experienced this once in the past when i was testing a different computer on this monitor so that's what I'm lead to believe the problem is.
