Is this bad?

Is it bad that when I applied the default overclock of MSI Afterburner to my Quadro 3000m while playing Warhammer Chaosbane it freezed the whole laptop and then it said in the notifications "application access to graphics hardware has been blocked" and the whole window of the game turned white? it also fucked up the windows explorer and so had to restart it

 

Also I noticed that the FPS's of the game where increased from 40 to 56 for a moment before it freezed and what I said above happend.

 

I have applied the default overclock to the card before which is (core clock 450mhz to 585mhz and memory clock 1250mhz to 1625mhz) while playing League of Legends or gaming on a android emulator and nothing bad happened

 

The machine is the Dell Precision m6600 with the i7-2860qm and 8gb of ram, hope you can tell me some things about this, thank you in advance

Too much overclock. Try lowering your overclock, and see what happens next. If lowering doesn't work, try running at stock settings.

Is it too much? the core speed just goes up 135mhz

Judging based on how your game doesn't like it, it may be. Can you check temps? Does any other game cause this?

I don't remember seeing high temps, anyway as soon as I turned on the overclock it freezed and then the game window turned white and everything went back to normal, I don't know if the temps can just go up that fast

Yeah, maybe too much overclock. See if running stock will make it not freeze.

No, with stock speeds it does not freeze, and it never happened before

Then I guess the GPU is not meant to be overclocked. Just run it at stock, the overclock is not that huge compared to being able to actually play the game.

Yea i guess, the m6600 its a good machine, what a shame that it came with the quadro 3000m
