Anyone Programmed with Tiny Basic?

whm1974

So I find out about Tiny BASIC by seeing the Title of some YouTube video about programing a 8-bit computer kit with this small size BASIC Dialect. It developed in response to Bill Gates selling Altair 8800 BASIC for ~$150 and Users Pirating it. Note: The game STARTREK which came out before Tiny BASIC on Minicomputers using Teletypes by a High School Senior, also implemented in Tiny BASIC. The Author of that program is the one who coined the Term Copyleft.

Tiny BASIC was designed to use at little Memory as possible since early Microcomputers of the mid-'70s had very small amounts of RAM. Often as little as less then 4K.

Well C is far more capable, but given the low amount of Memory and limited Storage of Microcomputers at the time. Very few High Level Languages would be able to run on them. Petty much had to use Assembly at first, and then BASIC and Forth.
