Having issues with Free sync/ Gsync in apex

I have the Samsung CRG5 24.

 

When I enable free sync ultimate and then G-sync in the control panel it is fine.

 

In apex after capping my fps at 143, there is tearing. Below that at 142 it works but does this odd slow mo sort of stutter.

 

I know the Model isn't G-Sync verified compatible, could this be why. I don't see why it wouldn't. Maybe its just apex?
