MK advice

averagetobes

I am at a loss here.

I've done as much research as possible, and decided the tactile feel of brown switches will be ideal for me.

My problem is, any keyboard with those switches seems to be out of stock everywhere. (I am UK based) I even looked at purchasing switches and making a board with GMMK, but all tactile switches are sold out.

Ideally, I'd like full-size keyboard as I'm so used to punching in numbers with my right hand but I could probably be swayed to a smaller one as I probably don't use numkeys as much as I think I do - and am ready to compromise.

In regards to budget, I'm not looking to cheap out or anything, I want quality but also at a good value price. It's my first board so if I can dip my feet in at a nice price then that would be ideal.

And how does everybody get their boards these days? Every recommended board I've seen on here is sold out or not sold in UK. Curries have a deal on the HyperX Alloy Origins for £70 at the moment which seems decent but it's red switches.

Looking forward to replies on this, TIA!

Try Razer Pro Type Keyboard. It's full size, has white lights on the keys, the keyboard is white, and it has tactile switches. Oh, and also it's only $140 and it comes with wireless capabilities. It's not sold out at the minute. You can buy it here. I hope this helped!

Ah ha, I see now, lol.

Also this is what I see in dark mode.

Anyway, for the OP, if you can feel it out that may help. The red switches have no bump and are smooth all the way down and brown is like almost smooth with a little bump.

Only the cherry browns feels like that, once you go to other brands, the tactile bump is way more noticeable.

As for op, there's that one.

Also you could get the gmmk barebone and a keycap set and put the switches you want in there.  Here is the tkl in iso layout.

Thanks for the input!

So in a twist of fate, I bought a Ducky One2 TKL Horizon - the reviews are all positive, everyone I've spoken to swears by Ducky's and at £100 it seemed a bargain. Plus it comes with orange and blue key caps which fits my aesthetic :D

Thanks for the tips all!
