PSU in-rush current?

Thebeesshoulders

Last night I had turned off my PC via Windows shut down and flipped my PSU switch off (I don't usually use that method) since my RGB keyboard was still lit.

Just 20 minutes ago I flipped the switch and it looked like a flash where my PSU is and there was a small pop from the charge. My PC booted fine after turning the power on and everything seems to be working fine, however, I am concerned that this may be the genesis of many issues to come if it's a problem. I asked someone on Discord about the issue and they told me to return the PSU and get a new one, which I don't mind doing but the store I got the computer built at has odd hours and an hour away (I know, I'm lazy), but I don't want to replace something that doesn't need it if this doesn't cause harm or is a common occurrence as I read on some threads online.

So does this happen when switching off the PSU? Should I replace it before it causes issues or am I okay?

PSU: EVGA 750w 80 gold.

Thanks!
