Hello, I plan on upgrading my PC this year. Right now I have a Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti, AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processer, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1 Terabyte HDD with an external 1 Terabyte HDD. I really want to upgrade my GPU the most because it cannot run VR and other high-end games very well. Though I do not know if my CPU can handle a GTX 1660 Ti. I am not an expert on PC building and I am just asking if it would work well or I would need to upgrade my CPU, RAM, etc. Any help is welcome, thank you.

1660 ti would be fine, depending on what you want to run in VR buying a used rx 580 and saving money for next year when the 3050 comes out might be a good idea too. But if you want the 1660 ti would defiantly suffice

VR is NOT worth it without a high end computer. Recommended spec for VR can barely keeps the framerate high enough.

I tried VR with i5-8400 and GTX 1060 6GB and my PC couldn't keep any game running smoothly because 60 FPS in VR is nowhere near acceptable for a comfortable experience.

But that Oculus Quest 2 tho.

I already have a Quest 2 and I connected it to my bad PC and Beat Saber and Boneworks runs fine and that is all I wanted to run. I thought that if I upgrade my GPU it would be able to run a bit smoother. I would mostly only use VR for those 2 games, though.
