Is there a list of recommended android apps in the forum?

I have a friend that just bought a cheap smartphone and I said there's a list of best apps in linustechtips forum.

I have found none.

I want to know what apps Linus uses too.  ;)

Any category pls.

Recommended apps for texting, contacts, music, etc.

Thanks.

What phone did he get?

Some of my go-to ones are:

Helium: For backups

Convert Everything: Conversion App

Flashlight: Obvious...

Clean Master: Helps keep your phones storage as clean as possible (Removing caches, uninstalling bloatware)

Poweramp: Amazing music player with many features, $3.99

Soundcloud: Listen to music, better than Youtube for music

Quickoffice: Pretty much Google Drive for Android, helpful for school

Kii Keyboard: Great keyboard replacement for the stock Android one

ES File Explorer: Amazing file explorer, great step up from the stock Android One

That's pretty much all the useful apps that I have.

If you friend is tech-savvy I suggest he roots his phone to get access to great things such as overclocking you phone and other great tweaks.

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

Most of them are free excpet for Poweramp I am pretty sure. But there is always other ways to acquire them ;) Also I don't use any battery saver apps. Just keep you data off and your brightness low and you will be fine :)
