So I have a Ryzen 5 1600AF, Asus B450M-A/CSM motherboard, and Corsaid Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3600Mhz RAM.

Every time I try to OC the RAM to get the 3600 speed, the pc won't boot. I've just been running it at stock speeds since I built it earlier this year.

What can I do to try to get more out of the RAM besides stock speeds?

I'm a n00b at OC'ing hardware. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

are you using xpm prophiles or manual overclocking?

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Reducing the latency.

First gen Ryzen's memory controller is the worst of the bunch, don't expect high speed memory to be very easy and you'll likely need to tune the memory controller frequency.

Something like DDR4 3000 at CAS 14 would offer a good level of performance.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

It the 1600af first gen? I though it was 2nd gen stuff under the hood, or it that just the silicon?

Ah yes it is the same second gen. Though, the capabilities of Zen to Zen + was basically "3000MHz is achievable" to "3200 is achievable" so the improvement was somewhat small.

So should I just try 3000 or 3200 and see if that works?
