So i have this problem, i have a 16gb 3200mhz hyperx fury all was working fine until suddenly it put 8gb of my ram into hardware reserve. Did everything i can see on the internet but nada. Tried reinstalling windows 10, placing the ram on dual and single channel but no luck. Both rams are working perfectly fine when install one by one, but when i use both half of its memory goes into reserve. Any ideas? Its been killing me for days already. Any suggestion is much appreciated. Thank you.

It could be you need a BIOS update.  It could be an onboard GPU not disabled in the BIOS.  It could be a memory map feature not enabled in BIOS.

It could be that this is checked in msconfig:

I actually tried all of that sir but no luck. I also dont have an on board gpu. Rzen 5 2600 doesnt have once. Also tried updating and downgrading bios but also no luck. Im starting to think that my ram is faulty but this is only 2 months old. 🤦‍♂️

That is working like intended.

This wasn't set up like this the first time sir  i was able to use my full 16gb memory but suddenly if put half of it to reserve. Now i can only use 7.9gb of memory cause the 8.1gb is put on reserve.

It isn't working as intended if 8GB is stuck in Hardware Reserved

Not sure how to fix that problem though, from what I've seen the issue has presented itself in various scenarios and there isn't a particular solution that I was able to gather, sometimes this type of thing requires a Windows re-installation as it could be caused by a fault in Windows, but I don't recommend that as it's a headache to backup your data and re-install Windows

I actually re installed a clean OS but the problem is still there. I am starting to think that one of my ram is faulty. But it works perfectly fine when used by themselves tho. And yes i've search the internet and tried all the solutions and videos i can find but luck.

It's either the board or Cpu if the memory checks ok individually. 9 of 10 times, it's the mainboard.

If you have another cpu to test with, and the issue still occurs, warranty the board.

It's such a difficult issues to diagnose as Windows doesn't provide reasons for why the memory is suddenly in reserve, I suggest you try out different sticks or move the sticks in different locations and make sure they're in Slot A2 and B2, if they already are then try moving them to A1 and B1

attachment.php?attachmentid=68015&d=1507

On the left of the memory slots would be the socket location

Noted, thank you i already tried swapping all the sticks to different slot but the problem is still there. Tried the sfc /scannow on cmd and memory diagnostic, still "no problems" were found. Lol im going to borrow diff sticks from my friend to see if its the rams that has a problem.

Hopefully it would work out, otherwise there's nothing left but the Motherboard and CPU that are causing these issues, and it's more likely to be the Motherboard

Hopefully it does. I spent all my savings for this and this is also my very first personal rig. Cant afford anymore motherboard. I actually bought this online so its kinda hard to get a warranty here from where im from. Tsk
