Hi again, long time no see. So my aunt gave her old laptop and told me that i am free to do anything instead of powering it up and loging in without explaining the reason. It is an old weird bran windows vista laptop. So i am thinking of re storing it but the problem is that i really don't want to stumble across any of her files. Will everything be good and clear if i just plug a new hard drive with windows?

As long as the new drive has an OS you should be fine.
