Ah ok then. I would recommend that you set a budget now (not necessarily super high end) and then save up until you have that money. When you have the money, then you plan out what your build will be.

Selecting a parts list this far before you will reach your budget means that it will be irrelevant at the time that you do build your computer.

Is 90 weeks a typo? If not, why would it take that long? If so, how long will it be? Chances are there will be a new generation of cpus out and it will be close to a new one being released at that time.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

if its only for gaming then personally i would go a low/mid range cpu (like a 5680 or i3/i5) and see what a 3060 would be worth, but by the time 90 weeks passes there could be many newer/cheaper products as that is nearly 2 years away

and if you really wanted something sooner you could go a 2nd/3rd gen ryzen and get a 1660/2060/5700 and it will still be quite good as a first pc, my first pc (that i payed for) had a 4th gen celerion/pentium processor (cannot remember which) and a gtx950/960 which burned itself out after a little under a year (one reason that i wont use single fan gpu's lol)

a first computer doesnt need to be a balling machine, it just needs to be something that you can get enjoyment out of or have fun using

I’ll probably do that. It just I already have my case (Lian li O11D XL) (my dad pre bought it) and I’m not sure if it will be compatible with future motherboards.

I highly doubt that the motherboard standards will change soon. You should be good to use this case for a long time.
