Budget (including currency): under 300 usd

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming but some other light office work

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): current cpu is ryzen 3 3200g With a DEEPCOOL Gammaxx 400 CPU Cooler, gpu - rx580 4gb, MB - MSI X570-A PRO, RAM - G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 16GB 3200, 1TB HD, 600W PSU. Its and IBUYPOWER that I custom configured and I want to upgrade my cpu but am on a budget of 250-300. If I upgrade my cpu, will I have any other bottle necks that will need addressed? Any input is helpfull!

Well you could go with a Ryzen 3600 but then the rx580 will hold you back. 3600 good CPU though, worth every penny.

What " next step up " gpu would you recommend? And also should I upgrade cpu then gpu or the other way around and also would I have to upgrade to a stronger psu

Well that entirely depends on your budget. RX 5700XT to RTX 3090.
