If you have any experience streaming using the following graphics cards, I'd be very interested to hear your conclusions on their respective performances please.

I am ready to pull the trigger next week on an upgrade, that will allow me to stream. I play COD + Rogue Company mainly. I have a 3600XT processer coming very soon, so want to upgrade my GTX970 (its been so long!)

I'm looking used because retail is all over the shop atm (pun intended), and in my country on eBay, these are the average selling prices of the cards over the last week or so.

RX 5700 XT - £302

RTX 2060S - £350

RTX 2070S - £395

Important to remember, the sole purposes of my upgrade are to be able to play on high settings (currently on low 😑) and comfortably run a 1080p60 stream. In terms of benchmarks, the 5700XT seems to outperform the 2060S (and this has been confirmed on here via multiple users). However, I keep seeing and hearing everywhere that the encoder on nVidia is miles better than the AMD one to the point where I'm thinking are AMD cards just rubbish for streaming? This brings two questions:

1) Is the 5700 XT capable of hardware encoding a good quality 1080p stream whilst still playing at high settings.

2) On the flip side, would the 3600XT handle CPU encoding to the point where GPU encoding isn't necessary? If the answer to this is yes, then I guess just buy the 5700XT right?

Taking into account the use case + price points above, what would you recommend?

Note - I know people are very excited about the latest GPU releases (I am too!), however with all the stock issues going on I'm quite happy to wait until later next year to upgrade. I've waited long enough and want the best value for money + use case appropriate ugprade now, so please no "wait for 6800XT/3060" responses please :)

What games are you planning to stream? If your streaming games like Val and CS you don't need a good GPU, even for streaming. If your streaming esports titles i'd recommend the 2060Super, so you can get good performance, with the best encoder. If your playing more AAA titles the 5700XT would have better performance, but the encoder is a bit worse.

Ah sorry I didn't specify. It'll just be COD and Rogue Company I stream. For the time being at least.

Honestly you couldn't go wrong with either. The 5700XTs encoder isn't that bad honestly, it's just that NVIDIAS Turing NVENC is alot better.

The 3060 would be a great choice, but if you don't want to wait then the 2060 Super would be a good choice

That was pretty much the answer I was looking for, just wanted to know none of them would be bad choices I guess.

Appreciate it, thanks a lot
