I am planning to get an amd radeon 6800, and i was wondering should i get the AOC C27G2Z 27 or the Acer Nitro XZ272 Pbmiiphx 27 one of the options is 1440p with 165hz and the other is 1080p with 240hz.

the budget for my monitor is $300 USD.

There isn't much noticeable difference from 165hz to 240hz, but there is a noticeable difference from 1080p to 1440p. Personally, I would go with the 1440p monitor.

you can always overclock the monitor as well

Would it be easy to squeeze out 35hz?

all i have is my 1080p monitor that is 60hz, its kinda well, bad, it has 3 dead pixels, and as you can assume, its not overclockable

so i have no idea, i can only assume it depends on the monitor

It really depends on the games you want to play. If you play more story games, go for the 1440p 165hz. If you play more esports, go for the 1080p 240hz.

If your only playing esports titles and are quite serious about playing and getting better, the 1080 240 would probably be better.

I play primarily shooter games and a lot of esports titles like overwatch and TF2, the experience with 1440p 144Hz is excellent.

professional gamers get 240Hz to get the highest performance possible but for someone actually trying to enjoy the game itself, I recommend higher resolution.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Kind of a weird question, but what is the size of the 1080p monitor? If it's anything over 26 inches it's not going to look great

I would go with the 1440p 165hz then. If you can find a 240hz at 24 - 25 i'd recommend that. I have 1080p 144hz 27' and it's not great looking

Then get the 1080p monitor.  There is a 280Hz monitor out as well if you want.

Make sure your rig can reach that fps tho, it's a bit on the high end.
