Soo I have a Ryzen 5 3600

And a Gigabyte ga-a320m-s2h

I am thinking that it could be my motherboard needs to be updated 1st for it to use it?

Yes, almost certainly with a first gen board. You should have really gone for a b450 board with bios flashback to save these sort of problems.

According to the CPU support list, it needs BIOS ver F40 for that CPU to work. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-A320M-S2H-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios

Okay will try updating the bios.

i upgraded from a ryzen 5 2400g.

Cant update right now tho. I have an issue there were the my ryzen 5 2400g is stuck on the cpu cooler :(

Get a small flat headed screwdriver, lightly press it between the CPU & cooler and carefully twist. Don't be aggressive, take your time and move around to different points, eventually it will drop off (it normally happens pretty quickly).

Grab it by the edge of the substrait and gently twist side to side horizontally with the cooler and it will eventually let loose.

Okay what was wrong was that I did not add the GPU when trying to boot, and I also need to insert the hdmi of my monitor to the GPU.

Im guessing because the ryzen 3600 does not have an integrated graphics card, thats why it wont display when I use the motherboards hdmi port

Ahh, see that's why it's important to give as much info as possible in the first post.. if not people will assume you have a GPU, but did not list it is all. Then it becomes a much longer problem solving.

Amyway, glad you got it working.
