Well, don't you worry such like "how the hell you just bought a fake GPU, are you that dumb?" as I didn't even bought it. Kind of get it from a friend when he sold his old PC (and he didn't realize he's using a fake GPU all those years). No buyers would want a fake GPU, so I rather to take it lol

This fake GT730 using a GF108 GPU that I know it's from 400 series cards. But, dunno which one exactly is that.

Well. I tried this card on Linux Mint bootable drive and it runs nicely even I don't even know if there's only 'basic driver' that used on that. I did tried it on an Windows drive either but when installing (newest) driver it just won't work. (and yes, I expected this would happen anyway.)

I already watched videos of reverting the card EEPROM to change it's BIOS to it's original, yet I don't wanna bother to do so as the tools used kind of expensive on my side.

I thought the only way to do is just installing old drivers. But, I have no idea which driver and how can I make it work.

Any suggestion on how can I at least use this card, to at least the driver would be working? I wouldn't mind about the performance at all as long as it can display a 720-1080p movie on an old TV.

Humor me, as you should do.

That's not a fake card, GT730s are just rebranded Fermi cards. Just install the nvidia driver. https://linuxconfig.org/how-to-install-nvidia-drivers-on-linux-mint

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

well you'd better get rid of it

it doesnt worth anything

It's still usable as it's still lots better than the integrated GMA graphics of the E2160. Got it for free anyway so why I have to get rid of it lol
