Pc not working im not smart

I havent had a pc for about 2 years now so i just have a bunch of old parts from my buddies leftovers. The motherboard seems to have power but i have no idea how to get the power button on. Everywhere ive placed that little "power sw" piece it still wont turn on.  The motherboard light turns on just the power on and reset buttons dont function.

 

I have a corsair 430 watt power supply

A 750ti

1 tb harddrive

The motherboard says "asus m5a97 le r2.0

 

 

 

P.S. I just need system to post before i do cable managment.
