Hi, I have an rx 480 and r5 1600 with 16gb/3200 ram. I am looking to upgrade as I'd like to use my 1440p 60hz screen for AAA games and my 165hz 1080p screen for Esports.

My budget is 550 CAD firm. Currently I have been looking at the used markets including eBay, the Facebook marketplace and craigslist but the cards that i feel would be a meaningful upgrade (2070 and above) are all being sold for over 600 dollars.... the cheapest 2070 super that is left is 650 which is completely absurd considering i can get one from amazon for 630.

Because of this, I have been eyeing the 3060 ti rumors, but I don't know if I will be able to get one considering the Ampere stock situation. Are there any Canadians in the Vancouver area who know whether or not places like BestBuy will have access to them? Or would it be best to wake up at whatever time the card goes on sale to try and snag one before the bots get them all? I have never bought a card on launch day before but currently that seems like the only option as I need one before Christmas.

Alternatively, AMD's competition (a prospective 6700 and 6700XT) might make a compelling option. Patience is rewarding when it comes to these new GPU releases, after all.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Well, for 1080p 165Hz you could certainly get away with 2060 super or 2060 levels of performance, and the 5600 XT as well.

As for pricing, there's no expectation of 20 series prices dropping any time soon.

I would like to play titles in 1440p at 60hz consistently, and unfortunately 2060 super does not seem like it will last very long.

The 3060 ti is rumored to be between a 2080 and 2080 super for 400 USD which would work very well for me and my budget.
