I’m mostly gaming and doing some software development on it so I don’t need multithreaded performance that much. Posted November 24, 2020 the CPU is going on 4 years now. Ryzen 1600. Motherboard: B450 Steel Legend, so not all that old. Case: Fractal Arc Midi R2 - The last Arc Midi came out around 2013, so it's probably the oldest part.
 Posted November 24, 2020 Calling mine 4-6 years old based off the CPU, but it's technically been mine for both less than but also more than a year. I shuffle parts around a lot, the CPU and mobo I got this year (used CPU and refurbished mobo). I've had newer stuff, and if I had the budget now I'd probably go for a 10th gen Intel chip or maybe one of the Zen 3 ones, but my 6950X still runs everything playably (I'd get... more fps in Star Citizen with a new CPU, that's the only game I play that would be affected and it's still perfectly playable). Posted December 2, 2020 That's a hard question to anwser by itself, so I'll go by part CPU - Sandy Bridge Xeon (2011), bought in 2016 Motherboard - Gigabyte H61, bought in 2011 RAM - Corsair DDR3, bought in 2011 GPU - GTX 1080 Ti, bought early October this year. CPU Cooler - NH-C14S, bought September this year. Case - Local brand Eagle Warrior Stealth, with exactly the same tooling as the Silverstone RL06/Fara R1, but worse front panel airflow. PSU - Phanteks AMP! 550W (2020), bought September this year. Storage - WD RE+ 1TB HDD (2015), Toshiba TR150 (2015), Sandisk SSD PLUS (2017), Crucial MX500 (2020) Mouse - Razer Viper Mini, bought this year. Keyboard - Rosewill Apollo RK9100, 2013. Monitor - LG 27UK650-W 4K 27", bought this year. Drawing Tablet - Huion H430P, bought this year. So most of my stuff is quite recent, but the oldest part is 9+ years old (and still doing great btw ) Averaging out part age, I've come up with an average age of about 3 years, and most of the 9 year old stuff will be replaced next year.
