Surface pro 2017 charging problem

So my SP2017 battery died while I was sleeping so it is completely drained. Tried to charge it with a dock but to no avail. The tip LED started blinking and it doesn't charge. Started doing a quick lookup and found out that the dock can't charge when the battery is completely dead. Anyone got the same problem?

Well. we have a Surface Book in storage for like 3 years. The battery on the tablet side was dead(0%, wont charge). It can be power up using the keyboard battery, but wont work if the keyboard detached, no matter AC is plugged in or not.

So far, I can't find a way to fix it without take it apart and replace the battery. That's one of the reason we replaced all our Surface with Lenovo.
