Hi there :D
im thinking about upgrading my PC with a better CPU. Currently i'm running an AMD FX-6200 @4,1 GHz. And since those parts are the only ones i've never upgraded since i bought my PC some years ago, i thought about going Ryzen. So new RAM and Motherboard are needed as well.

Budget (including currency): around 300€ would be nice

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Fallout 76, Digital Combat Simulator, VR (Oculus Rift), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare,

Other details:
Currently i have: AMD FX-6200M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard2x8GB DDR3 1600MHz, Zotacs GTX 970, 2 SSDs and 2 HDDs on a 630W PSU.
And i found this upgrade kit with: AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT, 2x8GB 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM and the MSI B450M Pro-VDH Max Motherboard. It's around 300€. The Motherboard seems low-end, though it features what i need, 4x SATA, option to upgrade with 2 more RAM sticks and m.2 SSD, as well as enough USB ports. Mainly i thought about upgrading, because gaming with my VR is kinda laggy on some titles, and the Oculus software complains about my CPU. Now my question would by, if some of you have experience with the Ryzen 5 3600XT and VR. Is this upgrade worth it? Or may it be better to wait for a 5600x to buy for a reasonable price some time in the future? ^^

Now i'd love to hear about your opinions, and thanks in advance :D

for 300 euros, that is a good upgrade kit and you will see a significant improvements over what you have. ryzen 5600x costs 300 euros on it's own, so it will be around 450 once you count the motherboard and ram for it.

given you have a gtx 970, the gpu is the limiting factor on vr performance. a cpu better than the 3600xt won't do much without a much better gpu.

the VRM is quite solid for an overclock if need be.

for 300 euro, it's a really good bundle. I would go for it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
